• Coding guidelines utilized by Perfecture in determining coding policy include but are not limited to those promulgated by: the ICD-9-CM Committee as published by the Coding Clinic (cooperatively produced by: AHA, AHIMA, CMS, NCHS), ICD-9-CM, HCPCS Level II, CMS Carriers and Intermediaries (LRMPs and memoranda), AMA/CPT 4, CCI, Medicare and other applicable government agencies and industry standard bearers.
  
  
• Pre-submission review including E&M coding as well as LOS. Perfecture utilizes proprietary medical necessity and risk algorithms based on industry guidelines and an industry accepted point methodology when determining Facility Level of Service.
  
  
• Correct coding of procedures and modifiers with S&I (supervision and interpretation). Interpretation of compliance matters and medical coding guidelines are continually subject to review and Perfecture maintains a library of industry and government rules, regulations, and guidelines. Perfecture also consults various outside experts and is continually reviewed for compliance using internal and external review processes for our online medical billing system.
